Duty Nurse Manager - Te Nikau Hospital, Greymouth at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Tai o Poutini West Coast, Greymouth

  • Te Nikau Hospital & Health Centre - Greymouth, West Coast
  • 0.9FTE (36 hours per week) fixed term position until May 2027 due to parental leave
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, staff management experience, along with a commitment to our vision.

About the Role

  • Effective leadership and management of resources after hours
  • Supporting our CNMs and leadership teams in hours
  • Coordination of Patient Flow internally and externally

This role will be working alongside our clinical staff across Nursing, Allied and Medical to provide guidance and expertise when needed. You will also be called upon for advice from our rural health team in critical situations. This is an excellent role for a senior nurse looking for a step up to develop their skills or to continue to grow their scope in acute settings.

This role will be working across a rotating roster including weekends and night shifts.

  • High Level Understanding of CCDM/TrendCare and variance response management
  • Strong organisational skills
  • High level knowledge of admission pathways
  • Knowledge of after-hours services
  • Ability to lead and guide staff through any situation
  • Leadership and Management experience desirable
  • High levels of interpersonal skills and ability to engage with a wide variety of people
