Family Therapist at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Matau a Māui Hawke's Bay, Hawkes Bay

  • Family Therapist Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Hospital
  • Permanent, Part-Time 64 hours per fortnight (0.8 FTE)
  • Make a meaningful difference working with tamariki, rangatahi and their whānau experiencing complex mental health needs, within a supportive, multidisciplinary CAFS team.

About the Role

As a Family Therapist within Child, Adolescent & Family Services (CAFS), youll be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering specialist, evidence-based therapies to tamariki, rangatahi, and their whānau. This is a dynamic and collaborative role, working alongside medical, Nursing, allied health colleagues and community partners to deliver holistic, age - appropriate care.

Based in Hastings and covering the wider Hawkes Bay region, this is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people and their families.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Ngā Harakeke Mai Rongokako - Child, Adolescent & Family Services (CAFS) is a dedicated team supporting mental health and wellbeing for young people across Hawkes Bay. We work collaboratively with paediatric and a range of community services to provide holistic, family - centred care.

About you

As a Family Therapist, you will bring:

  • A relevant professional registration with a current practising certificate.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, and families, with a special interest in family therapy.
  • Applied knowledge of psychotherapeutic models and mental health frameworks.
  • A full NZ drivers licence and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and equity.
