Senior Advisor at Ministry of Health, Wellington

Two exciting opportunities to join the Office of the Deputy Director-General, Public Health Agency and Mental Health Group. With the Office of the DDG sitting at the centre of this Group, you will get to see a range of work as it develops and support all parts of the Group. Bring your excellent relationship skills and machinery of government knowledge to help us build and shape this office.

In this role, you'll provide trusted strategic advice, support high'priority programmes, and help shape processes that enable teams to deliver impactful results for communities. It's a chance to work across a wide network, influence key workstreams, and uplift capability within a dedicated directorate committed to better health outcomes.
  • Provide steady, high'quality strategic advice and support, helping teams move their key work programmes forward with confidence.
  • Support important pieces of work in a collaborative way that brings people together and strengthens shared outcomes.
  • Champion strong performance monitoring, evaluation, and reporting frameworks that help the team learn and deliver well.
  • Uplift team capability by offering guidance, mentoring, and day'to'day support that helps others do their best work.
  • Support projects and work areas with thoughtful planning, clear methods, and high'quality advice that enables positive results.
