Registered Nurse - Orthopaedic Clinic at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley, Wellington Hospital

Location: Wellington Orthopaedics Outpatients Department, Wellington Regional Hospital and Kenepuru

Contract: Fixed Term (parental leave cover), Part Time 0.6 FTE Rostered and Rotating Registered Nurse (30/05/2026 - 29/05/2027)

About the Role 

We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse to work in our busy Orthopaedic Outpatients department. You will have the opportunity to care for Orthopaedic patients in an outpatient, acute, and in-patient setting. The role is based in the Wellington Orthopaedic Clinic, Te Wao Nui and Kenepuru Outpatients department. The organisation supports ongoing learning and clinical excellence. 

About the Team/Service Location 

The Orthopaedic clinics at Wellington and Kenepuru are open from Monday to Friday, 0800 - 1630 excluding weekends and public holidays

We have a small but committed group of nurses that have a passion for Orthopaedic Nursing with a focus on the art of plaster/cast application and wound care.

About you 

The successful applicant will have sound clinical nursing skills, a strong patient focus, and enthusiasm for working in a team. You will be passionate about nursing clinical excellence, innovation and professional development. 

The ideal candidate will already have:

  • Registration with NZ Nursing Council
  • Current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • Current NZ Work visa
  • Orthopaedic nursing experience
  • Wound care experience 
  • Full New Zealand Drivers Licence
