Registered Health Clinician - Youth Forensic at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau, Northland

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Health Clinician to join our Youth Forensic team in a role where you can be part of making a difference. You will be working with young people involved in the youth justice system or who are at risk of offending, to provide integrated assessments, risk management and treatment plans as requested by the Youth Court taking into account the psychosocial issues that are relevant to their development and wellbeing.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Te Roopu Kimiora, Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Addictions Service in Te Tai Tokerau, is a secondary care mental health service seeing rangatahi aged 0-18 years who have moderate to severe mental health concerns. We are a collaborative, supportive team that values open communication, continuous improvement, and shared success. Work alongside experienced professionals who are passionate about delivering great outcomes and helping each other grow

About you

You will have:

  • New Zealand registration and current practicing certificate with a professional body relevant to your health qualification, of hold DAPAANZ registration
  • A passion for working with young people and their whānau, along with a diverse and flexible approach, and proficient skills and knowledge, with a commitment to Tikanga Māori
  • A working knowledge of the criminal justice system and have strong assessment and intervention skills within the mental health and addictions sector
  • A current full New Zealand drivers licence
