Information Management Lead at The Treasury, Wellington

We have a rare opportunity within our newly established Security, Assurance and Information Team for an experienced Information Management Advisor to lead the improvement and enhancement of information management tools and systems here at the Treasury.

Our Security, Assurance and Information Team sits within the Enabling Services Group and partners closely with the wider Information Technology division to ensure strong information security and assurance against legislative and policy requirements.

Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role

As the Information Management Lead you work alongside our Lead Information Systems Advisor to plan, implement and champion continuous improvement activities of information management tools and systems.

As our information management expert, you will work closely with the IT leadership team providing specialist advice and build capability across the agency.

Ō pūmanawa | About You

We are seeking a well-rounded candidate with real world experience developing and implementing key records and Information Management frameworks. You will also bring:

  • Experience as a Records or Information Management specialist in a public sector organisation who can motivate and lead others through positive relationships
  • A good understanding of Government information strategies and initiatives, the Public Records Act and other legislation relating to records and information management. Must have experience in Disposal and Archiving.
  • An awareness of emerging trends in information management, and be willing to share your knowledge
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • The ability to influence and work with a range of stakeholders
