About the Role

We are seeking experienced and passionate Paediatric Registered Nurses to join the Temporary Staffing Bureau at Te Toka Tumai | Auckland Hospital. This casual opportunity offers flexibility while working within New Zealands leading paediatric healthcare service, Starship Child Health.

Based in central Auckland, Starship Child Health provides family-centred care to children and young people across New Zealand and the South Pacific. As a major teaching centre and national centre of excellence in paediatrics, we are committed to delivering high-quality care and supporting ongoing professional development.

This is a casual position working on an as-and-when-required basis with no guaranteed hours. Preferred candidates will currently be working 0.8 FTE (32 hours) or less and able to commit to at least one shift per week.

To be successful in this position

You will have:

  • A minimum of two years recent paediatric nursing experience
  • Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand
  • A current Annual Practising Certificate with no restrictions or conditions
  • Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • A commitment to culturally safe practice and equitable health outcomes
  • Flexibility, reliability, and the ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced clinical environments
