Lead Clinician - Tupu Ora at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Toka Tumai Auckland, Auckland

Permanent, Full Time Role (1 FTE) with significant clinical component (0.2FTE lead clinical/ 0.8fte clinical)

Open to applications from Mental Health Nurses and Allied Health professionals Clinical Psychologists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Psychotherapists

This is a Monday to Friday role, 0800am -430pm or 8.30am 5pm, Based primarily at Greenlane clinical centre - but will work across other services/locations when required.

About the Role

In this role, you will work in partnership with the Clinical Team Leader and Leadership Team to provide high quality evidence-based clinical services to our service users. The role has a place in the Leadership Team; you will influence decision making, represent the organisation professionally, and support a strong sense of team morale by demonstrating Te Toka Tumai values.

You will be an experienced, Mental Health Nurse or Allied Health professional with advanced clinical skills, strong knowledge and experience working in eating disorders and have a recovery focus with the ability to work collaboratively with our service users and their families. You will join an established supportive team of psychiatrists, nurses, allied health and clerical staff.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Tupu Ora is a regional specialist service providing assessment and treatment for, children, adolescents and adults with eating disorders. Tupu Ora also provides consultation to and liaison with community services and hospitals in the Metro Auckland and Northland region.

Tupu Ora has a continuum of services including community/outpatient, intensive day programme and residential options. The Tupu Ora community team provides specialist treatment to children, adolescents and adults presenting with moderate to severe eating disorders in the community and outpatient setting. Our community team has both child and adolescent and adult sub-teams. Consideration to the successful applicants skills, experience and interest will be given when considering clinical work for this role.

About you

To be a successful applicant for this role, you will meet the below minimum requirements:

A full and clean NZ driver licence is essential in this community-based role.

NZ Registered Health Professional with current APC

Minimum 5years experience in the relevant clinical environment, with at least 18 months in a designated senior clinical role

Knowledge of Mental Health & Addictions environment

Knowledge of contemporary issues in Mental Health & Addictions

Knowledge of the implications of the Treaty of Waitangi and a commitment to biculturalism

Sound understanding of professional ethics.

Membership of the relevant professional body and/or college (if available)
