About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available to join our passionate and multi-disciplinary team in the Critical Care Unit at Rotorua Hospital as a Nurse Coordinator Critical Care Data Program. The Nurse Coordinator also works with the senior team to coordinate the quality activities in the unit.
This position is part time 0.5 fte fixed term position to cover parental leave.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Our unit is a mixed Intensive Care High Dependency and Coronary Care Unit that caters for adults and paediatrics.

About you
- A commitment to the provision of quality care and ongoing education is essential, as is the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Recent acute critical care experience in New Zealand is essential
- Enthusiastic and motivated
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Work well in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Strong team player
- Demonstrate good clinical decision making skills
- An understanding of, and a passion for quality improvement
- Be Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Post Graduate Masters, or working towards
- Experience with Research
- Lakes District Quality Framework (must become conversant with this once employed)
