About the Role
As a Registered Nurse - Community Mental Health & Addictions, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred care within the community setting. Youll manage your own caseload, working closely with tangata whaiora to undertake comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and provide ongoing support tailored to individual needs.
This is a varied and autonomous role where youll build strong relationships with clients and whānau, provide education and support, and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and wider community services. Youll play a key role in supporting recovery, promoting independence, and contributing to improved long - term outcomes.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Our Community Mental Health and Addiction Services - North (Napier) team provides support to people in the community, working alongside whānau and partner agencies to deliver integrated, recovery - focused care. Youll be part of a collaborative, supportive team committed to equity and culturally responsive practice.

About you
As a Registered Nurse, you will bring:
- Current NZ Nursing Council registration with a valid practising certificate
- Recent community mental health and / or addiction nursing experience
- Relevant postgraduate qualification in mental health or addiction (or working towards)
- Strong assessment, caseload management, and communication skills
- A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and improving equitable health outcomes
