• Permanent, Full Time, 80 hours per fortnight (1 FTE)

About the Role

As the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will provide operational and clinical leadership across the Acute Assessment Unit, Medical Day Unit, and IV Therapy Service. Youll be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high - quality care delivery, while leading a large nursing team and managing resources within a complex and dynamic environment.

This is a highly visible and influential role where youll oversee patient flow, workforce planning, and service performance, while driving continuous improvement and leading change initiatives. Youll work closely with multidisciplinary teams and senior leaders to ensure services meet quality standards, achieve performance targets, and respond effectively to the demands of acute care.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The Acute Assessment Unit and associated services are central to hospital patient flow, supporting timely assessment, treatment, and discharge. Based at Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital, youll lead a large, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering safe, coordinated, and patient-focused care

About you

As an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager, you will bring:

• Current NZ Nursing Council registration with a valid practising certificate
• Extensive clinical experience (6 to 8+ years) and proven leadership capability
• Strong people management, workforce planning, and service delivery skills
• Ability to lead in a fast - paced, complex environment with competing priorities
• Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and improving equitable health outcomes
