About the Role:

The RACP Adult Medicine Basic Training Network Director provides educational leadership and oversight of the delivery of the RACP Adult Medicine Basic Training Programme across the Northern Region (metro-Auckland and Te Tai Tokerau).

The role ensures that training is delivered to the highest standard in accordance with RACP curricula, policies and accreditation requirements, and that the network environment is conducive to the learning and development of Basic Trainees.

The role includes:

  • Providing strategic and operational leadership of the Basic Training Programme across networks
  • Championing a culture of high-quality, equitable and effective medical education
  • Overseeing, engaging and developing Directors of Physician Education and Educational Supervisors
  • Collaborating with the Medicine VTC, the four districts and RACP to align training with workforce and system priorities
  • Driving continuous improvement in training quality, accreditation compliance and trainee outcomes
