About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic person with excellent interpersonal skills to provide clinical typing support for the Mental Health and Addictions Service based in Hamilton. Previous typing experience, a high degree of computer literacy and the ability to work autonomously are essential. Experience with hospital management systems and the ability to fit into a large team would be advantageous; however, training will be provided. About the Team/Service

The Mental Health and Addictions Service has physical locations across Waikato. This role will be physically located at Te Kuuwaha o te Waiora, 135c Silverdale Road, Hillcrest (Entrance 10, University of Waikato) as part of our Adult Mental Health Service.

About you

• Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
• Experience in upholding Te Tiriti principles and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
• Adaptable with a willingness to embrace multitasking.
• Excellent communication skills are required and confidentiality is essential.
• Possess competent computer skills with evidence of your typing ability. It would be advantageous that you have had previous experience working within a health/mental health setting.
