About the Role

We are looking for an experienced NZ Registered Physiotherapist to work as a Physiotherapist within Cardiorespiratory Outpatients. This role is based at Greenlane Clinical Centre and is a permanent position between 0.8-1FTE (40 hours/week) depending on staff preference. Our service supports hospital speciality clinics and services such as cardiology, respiratory and heart and lung transplant, and we also those referred from General Practices with the Auckland catchment area

This role will also see you performing the below duties:

• Manage a complex and varying caseload clinical caseload through 1:1 sessions and group exercise programmes
• Gain experience in service evaluation and development
• Work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary bicultural environment
• Support equity of health outcomes by incorporating processes into practice that reduce inequities
• Provide preceptorship to rotational staff and provide student supervision
• Participate in our weekend and on-call roster

About the Team

Our team is made up of passionate and supportive Physiotherapists motivated to improve the quality of life and health outcomes of the communities we serve. Our Cardiorespiratory outpatient team is made of up 6 physiotherapists- An Advanced Clinician, 1 Senior, 3 static physiotherapists and 1 rotational. Our wider Physiotherapy team consists of 94.5FTE, working across both inpatient and outpatient settings.

About you

As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

• New Zealand registration as a Physiotherapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
• 3+ years of post-graduate experience including experience with cardio-respiratory in acute or outpatient settings
• Excellent clinical reasoning skills and use of evidence informed practice
• A flexible, pro-active and can-do approach
• Experience supporting students
• Evidence of establishing and developing working relationships within the wider MDT
• Effective time management, prioritisation and organisation skills
• Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how to provide culturally safe care
