About us:
The Auckland Regional Forensic Psychiatry Service, or the Mason Clinic as it is often known, is the largest Forensic Mental Health Service in New Zealand. We serve the four Northern Districts Health Boards including all courts in the northern region and five prisons.
The Service delivers clinical pathways support recovery, enable tāngata whai i te ora and whānau involvement and are anchored in the recognition of principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (kawanatanga, ritenga, oritenga, and mana Motuhake).
About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to support the Environments, Security & Building Manager to ensure that efficient, high quality customer services are provided in line with policy and process to provide a safe environment for all.

This will include:
- Managing the Security Officers staff during day to day shifts.
- Supervises daily activities of on shift Security Officers.
- Ensures policies and procedures are followed.
- Assigns tasks, manages rosters, and ensures adequate coverage.
- Oversees access control, patrols, perimeter checks, and general operational duties.
- Responds to incidents in real time and escalates major issues to the manager.
- Conducts shift briefings, updates logs, and ensures incident reports are completed.
- Acts as a bridge between Security Officers and the Building, Environments & Security Manager.
- Provides on-the-job training and guidance to Security Officers.
- Ensures equipment (radios, alarms) is functioning.
