About the Role
As a Pre-Analytical Technician, your primary responsibility will be the collection of laboratory specimens, assisting with data entry (registration) and specimen preparation for testing.
You will work in a collaborative and supportive environment to delivery your mahi, contributing to the success of our busy laboratory.
This casual role may include weekend shifts, so if you think this position is a good fit for you and you would be a good fit for our department we would love to hear from you.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver a high-quality, timely service with a strong attention to detail.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in specimen collection and data entry.
- Communicate empathetically and professionally with patients and colleagues.
- Registration with the Medical Laboratory Science Council is preferred, but not required full training will be provided.
- Healthcare or customer service experience is an advantage.

About you
- Able to follow instructions and established procedures accurately.
- Understand and respond to patient needs with empathy.
- Maintain a moderate level of fitness for hospital-wide mobility.
- Work effectively independently and within a team.
- Phlebotomy or healthcare experience is preferred.
