Kaihautū Kounga ā-Pūnaha | Systems Quality Lead, Business Systems at Te Puni Kōkiri - Ministry of Māori Development, Wellington

Our Business Systems tīma is looking for a Kaihautū Kounga ā-Pūnaha | Systems Quality Lead. This role is the technical lead responsible for leading any digital change strategies and driving positive change across Te Puni Kōkiri to ensure the successful adoption of digital ways of working as implemented by the Information Systems Directorate. This is a fixed term opportunity until end of June 2027.

Te whai wāhitanga | The opportunity 

The Systems Quality Lead supports the successful adoption of digital systems and ways of working across Te Puni Kōkiri. The role works closely with kaimahi to respond to business needs, triage requests received by the Business Systems team, and help resolve issues related to systems and processes. You'll identify opportunities for process improvements, support the implementation of system changes and ensure clear communication so kaimahi understand and can effectively use new tools and processes.

The likely appointment range is $124,242 - $138,046, based on skills and experience. This will be pro-rated for the period of the fixed term.

Mōu | About you 

Must have the following technical knowledge:

  • A practical understanding of the Agile framework
  • Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions
  • Experience using M365 suite of products including Teams, Word, Excel, Ppt, Visio, LMS, Dynamics CRM and Power BI
  • Experience with product configurations, designing, documenting, testing and implementing new applications and systems
  • Critical thinking ability with proven problem-solving capability to design solutions
  • High standards of professionalism, strong work ethic, integrity and confidentiality to ensure work is completed quickly, accurately and with minimal supervision
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas to others
  • Work autonomously and continuously show initiative
  • Comfortable working in a tikanga Māori environment with commitment to use basic Te Reo Māori
