In this fast-paced role, you will work with other social services, agencies and providers to ensure the needs of the child or young person and their family are fully met. This is a fixed term / secondment opportunity to May 2027 to cover an internal secondment.

Due to the fixed term nature of the contract, applicants that are SWRB Registered with a current Annual Practicing Certificate are highly prioritised. 

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring

Key requirements of the role include: 

• Registration with New Zealand's Social Work Registration Board (SWRB) and Current Annual Practicing Certificate 
• A social worker qualification recognised by the SWRB
• A full, clean, current NZ driver's licence
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated resilience, problem solving techniques and flexibility
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Strong PC and Microsoft Office Suite skills with excellent report writing skills
• Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
