About the Role

We are looking for a psychologist to join the Community Mental Health Team on a permanent full-time basis.

This role will see you provide a high-quality clinical psychology service through the assessment and treatment of clients, ensuring their needs are met in a culturally responsive, clinically effective, and legally safe manner. The Psychologist functions as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The Invercargill Community Mental Health Team is part of the Mental Health Addiction and Intellectual Disability Services (MHAID).

The Invercargill Community Mental Health Team is a dynamic and supportive team where autonomous practice, research, professional development is supported.

You will be joining a multi-disciplinary team of health professionals committed to the delivery of gold standard care to the population we serve. About you

• To be considered you must be registered with the NZ Psychologists Board and hold a current Annual Practising Certificate.

• Candidates should be knowledgeable be able to demonstrate excellent assessment (including risk assessment), formulation, and treatment planning and therapy skills.
• You should be a confident and effective communicator, truly passionate about your work and hold an unwavering belief in people's recovery.

• A current NZ drivers' licence will also be required.
