Our main sites are Middlemore Hospital, Kidz First Hospital and Manukau Health Park.

We are part of Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, the overarching organisation for New Zealands national health service. HNZ leads the day-to-day running of the health system, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels. 

 

About the role: 

We are looking for passionate Registered Nurses to join our dynamic teams there are full and part time positions currently available in PACU at Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Health Park

Middlemore Hospital and Manukau Health Park are seeking enthusiastic Registered Nurses to join our vibrant teams, where we can offer you an opportunity to add diversity and excitement to your nursing career.

Delivering high quality elective, acute and trauma surgery to the community, Counties Manukau District continues to be recognised as one of the busiest operating departments in the country, all while maintaining a reputation as an internationally recognised teaching hospital. 

The Post Anaesthetic Care Unit, known as the heart of the theatre departments, provides an opportunity to expand your surgical and acute care skills and supports professional development, growth and learning. The PACU teams are specialist nurses focused on airway management, cardiovascular monitoring and support, pain management, surgical care and high dependency nursing. Positions are available for rostered 8 hours shifts - Middlemore requires 24/7 cover, whereas Manukau Health Park is open Monday-Friday.

Desired:

  • Minimum 2 years recent New Zealand surgical or acute care nursing experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Rostering flexibility with 8-hour shifts
