Allied Health Assistant - Physiotherapy at Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau, Northland

  • Physiotherapy Department - Bay of Islands Hospital, Te Tai Tokerau
  • Permanent full-time position, working 40 hours per week

  • Full training and ongoing support will be provided

About the Role

As an Allied Health Assistant, you will provide efficient, high quality client interventions, as delegated by the allied health practitioner(s) in the provision of allied health services including exercises, equipment sizing and fitting and performing measurement tests. Services will be delivered in a variety of locations including inpatients, outpatients, and community. In addition, the role will provide support to the allied health teams in the effective management of resources and equipment.

About you

  • Good literacy and numeracy skills to School Certificate or National Certificate of Education level
  • Experience/skill in working with patients/customers
  • Computer literate including knowledge of excel spreadsheets and stock management
  • An understanding of physical disability
  • Ability to show initiative and a can-do attitude
  • Whilst not essential, candidates that have full secondary schooling, C.P.R/First Aid training, or experience working with people within Health Services are desired
