Our Finance team is looking for a talented and dedicated Principal Advisor.  You will contribute to the success of our team through a combination of vision, thought leadership, relationship management and organisational agility.

Te whai wāhitanga | The opportunity 

As a Principal Advisor, you will deliver strategic financial advice and partner closely with the General Manager – Finance, Property & Procurement. You will represent the Governance and Corporate puni across ministry-wide strategies and policies, while contributing to high-quality reporting for the Executive Leadership Team.

The likely appointment range is $124,242 - $151,851, based on skills and experience. The full grade for this role is $124,242 - $165,657 with a mid-point of $138,046

Mōu | About you 

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Strong analytical, strategic and planning skills
• An ability to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships and effective networks across and within organisations 
• Experience in analysing technical issues and making business decisions with financial impact
• To demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience in financial management reporting
• Strong working knowledge of government financial management legislation, policies and practices
• Experience in a similar role and environment would be advantageous
