About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Health Care Assistant with previous health experience to join our friendly, passionate and knowledgeable team at our Bladder and Bowel Nursing Service.

We are offering a permanent 1.0FTE (40 hours per week) position in the Bladder and Bowel team based at Whakatane Hospital. The role requires availability to work between 8.00am and 4.30pm, Monday - Sunday.

The role involves supporting the service by providing high-quality care under the direction of the Specialty Nurse/Registered Nurse and may include non-clinical tasks.

About the Team/Service/Location

Our team operates as a district regional service within the broader District Nursing framework. Comprising of a dedicated team of professionals, including a Clinical Nurse Specialist, Registered Nurse and Health Care Assistants.

About You

The successful applicant is required to have prevous health experience, customer service knowledge, effective communication skills and computer knowledge.

Health Care Assistants work independently under the supervision of a highly motivated, friend and enthusiastic nursing team who are committed to delivering comprehensive quality care. If you have a 'can do' attitude, are a team player and have a Health Care Assistant qualification Level 4 Certificate or similar, we'd love to hear from you.
