The role would provide support to our OT teams at Waikato Hospital and also cover our OTs at the rural hospitals and community bases. As this is a casual position, hours would vary week to week, including up to 40 hours per week on occasion. Hours of work typically are between 7:30am and 4:00pm, Monday to Friday with some possible weekend shifts.

Allied Health is a department of the Waikato district that provides Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Dietetic, Audiology & New Born Hearing screening, Social Work, and Psychology services. We are a very welcoming team, and provide a supportive work environment.

About you

• Ideally 2 + years OT experience in hospital/or community services
• a positive and flexible attitude
• an ability to work as part of a team
• excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• computer skills
• excellent time management skills and an ability to flex and adapt depending on work demands
• culture awareness
• full drivers licence
